Looking for a late deal holiday to Lindos, Rhodes in summer 2011?
You’ve come to the right place. We are 100% independent so can promote all operators and agencies with deals to Lindos. Here’s our guide to getting a great late deal :
1) Don’t leave it too late!, Tour operators like to fill up all the available seats they have, and they like to have the plane full in good time. Whilst every year is different and depends on the supply and demand, typically you start to see late deals coming out around 6 weeks before departure and by the time you get to a week before the flights leave, most flights are full. You do sometimes get last minute cancellations though so it’s still worth a look.
Shop around.
2) It really does pay to shop around. All the links here will open in a new window so if you want the best deal try them all. Here are the links to try – thomson.co.uk, firstchoice.co.uk, thomascook.com, olympicholidays.com & last but not least (they are cheap!) sunshine.co.uk
3) If it looks like a good deal, grab it. Seats and rooms are very limited at the late deal prices and when operators see people booking they try and tease the prices back up. If you like the look of a deal, the chances are other people will be interested in booking too so grab it while you can.
4) Rhodes flights are on Wednesday and Saturday. There tends to better bargains on Wednesday flights. One reason for this is you need an extra day off work if you fly Wednesday to Wednesday compared with saturday to Saturday (assuming you don’t work on the weekends!).
5) If there is a Thomson holiday you like the look of, do a search at portlandholidays.co.uk too – you can often, though not always find the same holiday for less. It’s because Thomson owns Portland but doesn’t pay any travel agent commission on Portland bookings.
Edit : Thomson has shut down Portland now and instead show’s their lowest prices on Thomson.co.uk
