Lindos Information

Lindos is a classic Greek island destination. White houses, like sugar cubes are dotted on the mountain and the turquoise sea is always inviting. Labelled as a culture town, Lindos is one of Greece’s most famous villages – not because of the beaches – even though they are among Rhodes finest. It is the medieval fortress the Acropolis, a fascinating ruins high up on a 116 metre high cliff that makes Lindos the most visited area on Rhodes. There are many different eras represented – from the Neolithic remains to Rhodes Knights strong fortress walls. The Acropolis is within walking distance from the village.

There is more than the Acropolis to see when you are in Lindos. The old captain’s houses, for example, whose architectural style is a mixture of Arab, Byzantine and Aegean architecture.
